Post-Fossil & Post-Capitalist Futures – An International Workshop with Public Keynotes | 10th & 11th of October 2024 at the University of Helsinki

The Finnish Karl Marx Society, Helsinki Institute for Social Sciences and Humanities (HSSH), HELSUS, and Resilient and Just Systems (RESET) are jointly organizing a two-day international workshop with public keynotes on fossil capitalism and the impending sustainability transitions. The event focuses on transitions away from the fossil-fueled civilization – beyond the hegemonic paradigms of techno-optimism.

Keynote lectures are delivered by
Kohei Saito (Associate Professor, University of Tokyo / Visiting Professor, HSSH University of Helsinki),
Stefania Barca (Distinguished Researcher “Beatriz Galindo” senior, University of Santiago de Compostela / CISPAC) and
Jeff Diamanti (Assistant Professor, University of Amsterdam).
